Watersports centre with training courses, plus sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and a walking trail.
This place is an amazing place for kids. Lots of flies along the path. The views and walk around the pond were lovely. The swans were magnificent, the closest I've ever seen these gentle birds. Be aware of flies along the path, and keep an eye on young children near the swans, as they can be quite bold when approaching for food. Birdseed is available for purchase at the reception. Please don't feed them bread. The playground is a great place for the kids to play even though the sippline wasn't working. The train also seems to be out of service. There is pay and display parking by the cafe for those who need it.
Childrens play area is like a beach in places. The toilets are clean and convenient. It's very dog friendly. Loads of areas for picnics. Top notch day out.
Been here a few times. Always a nice walk around the lake. It's quite flat so handy for pushchairs, bikes, wheel chairs etc. it's about 2.6km. There is a small train that runs a little way round the lake. One of these trains that you straddle to sit on so no designated seats. Fun for small and big kids! There is a cafe that serves hot food and drinks. There is also a couple of ice cream vans to chose from. A nice play area, zip line for young children. On the walk around the lake is a bird hide or two and always plenty of ducks and swans to see. Plus wooden activities to do as you walk around. It's a pay and display car park. Think we paid PS2 for 4 hours. The only disappointment on this visit was the amount of rubbish that had been left. Bins were over flowing and rubbish just randomly left about. This was not nice to see and definitely not good for the environment or any inquisitive swans! So come on Pugneys, get your finger out and keep up with the rubbish especially knowing that on warm days you get a lot more visitors.
Great to walk around, have a picnic on the grass or the available picnic benches. Cheap parking and a big car park. Highly recommend.
Lovely walking space, great for children little train ride was a hit for the grandkids, feeding the ducks, lovely well kept picnic areas too.
A fantastic place for a leisurely dog walk! The views are beautiful and the path is well maintained! There's a large car park which you pay PS2.50 for 4 hours which is very good value! There's a cafe serving a wide range of food and snacks, plus toilets by the reception. It's great for dogs and there's ply of bins along the lake path! There's a playground and nature trail for kids to keep them interested! Plus a light railway too!
