It was overcast when I went. But it is a fabulous view of the river. Also ther is a beautiful church to the right of the bridge. And the lamps on the bridge it self are stunning.
The underground station is on the north bank with a few shops and cafes. And a walkway Across the railway bridge.Just along the embankment is the main Putney bridge area with larger restaurants a park and transport hub including a pier for alighting fastcat boats along the Thames.

The surrounding area is wonderful, especially Putney side. Very nice to walk along the river and the bridge. There are some pubs and restaurants next to the bridge, can chill for long there.
One of the prettiest bridges in London ! Putney always has a beautiful romantic vibe. The bridge connects Fulham with the Putneu High Street with so many shops , restaurants, clubs , supermarkets. You can find anything you like . The aesthetic of this bridge is just wonderful. Always a very nice place to walk around.
Seems sturdy and nicely built, felt confident using bridge. Nice hard desperation bi-directional cycle paths on both sides of the road. And 40 mph road keeps traffic from building up. Would use again.
