Puxton Park is brilliant! You pay one, very reasonable price, and everything then is free. There's everything kids could want - rides, play areas, animals, petting / animal meetings, a maze, a little train, water rides, go karts... You can easily spend a whole day there and not be bored in the slightest! The food on sale is very good quality. Even in the soft play area, the sandwiches, etc. are made with quality ingredients. Everything is very good! You can also take picnics and there are water fountains to refill bottles. My only negative is that there are not many seating areas and only a few benches scattered about and very little shade on hot days. If you love the sun that's not a problem, but I'd have liked a few more trees and benches.
Absolutely brilliant for kids of all ages. All experiences were well thought out. Staff were fantastic with the kids and very professional. All staff looked happy and interacted with adults and children alike. Food in the play barn was all made to order. The filled rolls were fresh and tasty and the chips were gorgeous. Cafe staff were well versed with regard to allergies. I use a wheeled walker and was able to negotiate everywhere in the park. Toilets were reasonably clean even though it was very busy. I would thoroughly recommend Puxton Park for a fun day out.
In short... not worth the money, im afraid. The restaurant, although it has lots of hot food choices, not many cold food and sandwich choices for adults. Good cappuccino, and good selection in the kids' sandwich box deal, but that's about it. I feel like the ordering system needs an update, and the words on the board need to be bigger. Staff were quick to clean up after people, which was nice to see. Over PS45 for 3 dry sandwiches, 3 cappuccinos, and 2 kids packed lunches. The play parks were good, lots of space for them to run around and play on. The train was WOW, just jungle animal statues that have chips and paint missing from them. You can't see any live animals or anything of interest as you go around the track. My 7 year old said, "Is that it?" As we pulled back at the little station. The dinosaur track the kids can drive on was good. They enjoyed that, but again. Over very quickly, it was not worth the queue to go back on again. I think we spent more time in the cafe and gift shop than we did in the actual attraction. Maybe we just came on an off day because we hardly saw any animals other than meerkats and emus. For the money we spent at the restaurant, venue and gift shop combined, we could have done a large zoo and still bought food and then gifts at the end and the day would have been a long day out rather than 2 hours total. Would I come again? Maybe if I planned better, brought a packed lunch, warmer day, during animal talks, or feeding/petting times. But based on my experience that day. Not really. I'd have thought during the holidays, some more things would be going on.
Absolutely amazing place! A lot of attractions for toddlers but also for older kids. Affordable lunches available. Animals are clean and in very good shape. Usually not much queues, even during the weekend. Highly recommend the year subscription :)
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! WELL WORTH MONEY PLUS MORE!! Animal interaction, loads of rides! The barn shop = amazing and well priced. The gift shop = amazing the soft play area = amazing . There's play areas dotted about EVERYWHERE! There's a milking shed where you can see the cows getting milked, a Cheese factory. Where you can watch them make fresh cheese, and they also sell there own milkshakes .
We came here years ago when the kids were younger and they loved it, however this time (despite the price increase!) it's incredibly run down and just grubby. Old cobwebs in displays/cages. The area by the parrots/cheese and cattle barn needs a good sweep and general tidy as well. Yes I know it's a "farm" however the standards are definitely lower than they were. It's great that nearly everything is free once you're in and there's a lot to do alongside seeing the animals. The coffee is lovely, a tad pricey but to be expected of a tourist hot spot. General play areas are clean and tidy and plenty of places to wash hands. Kids loved the soft play and the milkshake machine outside.
