Absolutely loved this walk, it looks amazing makes you feel your in another world how the trees look like they are bursting out of the rocks, can be slippery and good walking shoes are needed. Great fun for adults and children. There are animals, donkey, goats, running ducks, pony's. (Even managed to get a pic of a very friendly cat) beautiful day out, lovely cafe, and small shop. Fun for all.
Phenomenal place to visit! Miles of trails around the stunning woodlands which feel out of this world. We were there for about 90mins and did most of the trails. Definitely take heed of the signs to wear suitable footwear - there are lots of slippery rocks and tree roots. They also have farm animals and a large play area if you have children. Cafe on site with very reasonable prices.
My mum came here previously on her previous forest of dean adventures before taking me here, we came here two weeks ago and I couldn't believe what I had seen I was well over the moon! It felt as though we both got a good workout in and saw the amazing sculptures that they had in the forest. It was a very awesome walk and a very amazing morning/afternoon out! We saw some animals, ponies, a cat and some pretty flowers in the garden! I loved it and my mother loved it (and they had some amazing animals graffiti art in the barn bit)
Pleasantly surprised when visiting here as part of a weekend away. Was happily shocked to find the place was exceptionally quiet (we must have bumped into perhaps 6 other people on our walk around the woods). Was expecting a busy touristy type attraction but it was so tranquil and peaceful from start to finish. The animals at the start were an added bonus! Young goats, ponies, horses, ducks, chicks and even a cheeky little cat. The walk through the woods itself was stunning, there was always something to look at and a scene to admire. You could walk around here for hours (despite the recommended time of 1 hour). Definitely follow the advice of wearing sturdy footwear though! Even in hot dry weather inside of the woods the floor can be sloppy and damp. Wear good boots to avoid a muddy bottom!
Incredible place, lots of twists and turns. Really living up to the name Puzzlewood. I definitely should have worn more suitable shoes for the journey, but it was still great. Definitely recommend going with a group as opposed to going solo. But if you were to go solo, it's definitely the kind of place you could take your time in.
Like something out of a fairytale fable, this hidden oasis offers up an ethereal window into another world where you imagine fairies to be twinkling among the shrubbery and the whole place to just come alive, such is the otherworldly beauty of it all. The whole walk around the place shouldn't take more than an hour but what you'll experience is something you won't forget in a hurry and the little ornaments dotted around the greenery just adds to the whimsical charm. Word of warning: Make sure to come with shoes with good grip as the place really is slippery and absolutely do not go off the beaten path - I wouldn't want to go falling down the many holes surrounding the landscape, that's for sure. Outside of the main attraction, look out for the chickens, ponies, donkeys and ducks - they sure are a delight.
