This 130-acre woodland park features walking trails, a lake, and a variety of wildlife, including birds, fish, and insects. Visitors can explore the woodland's diverse habitats, including mature woodland, grassland, and wetland, and enjoy scenic views from the many vantage points. The park also has picnic areas, a children's play area, and a cafe serving refreshments.
Lovely walk through Quarrymill Woodland Park today the birds were singing away quite merrily Added bonus having a cuppa at the cafe afterwards you can sit outside as well as inside.
Visiting from outside the area and just googled walks and this came up. What a tidy well maintained beautiful park. Lovely flat pathways nice and wide suitable for all. Lovely looking tearoom that we didn't visit as we had picnic in car.
The car park is behind the cafe with space for up to a dozen cars. Paths go on both sides of the burn that runs the length of the park. There are several bridges to allow walkers to cross over and either keep walking up or return to the car park. We saw a wheelchair taking the path on the carpark side and they could probably go right into Scone at the top end. The other side has a steep climb that would make it difficult half way up. There is a platform with barriers to allow wheelchair users a look at the burn just before the climb. There is a viewing platform also at a pond which is the most scenic part of the place. Nothing strenuous and good walking paths all round. There was plenty of dog walking happening.
Lovely park, nice place to stop off. Beautiful scenery and wildlife if you're lucky.
Stopped here for lunch in park. Clean lawn area, freshly mown lines. Plenty of benches and bins. Slightly concerned about notices on bridges re water. Public notice re not to go in water, dogs not to go in water. Otherwise a good place to stop and gift shop and cafe at the venue. Gift shop not overpriced but you pay in shop for coffee shop purchases.
A really nice set of walks, you can pick between some flat walks or something that are up hill
