This 1,200-acre park is located in the heart of Surrey, featuring a stunning mix of woodland, grassland, and heathland. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, foxes, and birds, and offers scenic walking trails, cycling routes, and horse riding paths. Visitors can explore the park's many attractions, including a Go Ape! treetop adventure course, a children's play area, and a cafe serving local produce. The park also hosts various events and activities throughout the year, such as guided walks, nature talks, and outdoor concerts.
Lots of car parking and great for walks around the beautiful lake and walks through the country park trails. The Ashington Premier Inn is on site with a restaurant and bar next door serving breakfasts from 6.30am and serving meals and bar drinks throughout the day until 11pm. There is also a large outdoor seating area.
Excellent parking facilities and also a place to drink and eat is located here. The lake is beautiful and the wildlife is also really nice. I feel it could do with something else to attract people as there is a lot of waste land but it's a pleasant walk on a nice day.
All good and sound, but in the pub the beer isn't cold.
A nice little place to visit for a walk. Great views of the lake and water birds. Also allows for easy access to a mining museum. Free parking is provided, but the carpark is mostly potholes so beware in wet weather.
Nice circular walk. Great for stretching my 5 yr olds legs. Little bit muddy in places now, but you certainly could get a pushchair round fairly easily. Loads of swans, geese and ducks, though they do get close in the car park.
Great walk. Even better now paths been made as it was very boggy part of the way.
