This museum showcases the history of RAF Binbrook, a former Royal Air Force station in Lincolnshire, England. The centre features exhibits on the station's role in World War II, the Cold War, and its eventual closure in 1992. Visitors can explore a recreated 1940s-style Nissen hut, see vintage aircraft and military vehicles, and learn about the lives of RAF personnel and their families through interactive displays and personal stories.
Very interesting place on a very historic former WW2 airfield. Volunteers happy to pass information. Worth a visit
Fairley Battles 207 Squadron. Training formation 1938 Personal Photo.
Nice to have a walk round the former airbase. Pretty scruffy and unkept compared to its former glorious past
Great to see the Lancaster bomber in flight even better over Raf Binbrook
Did a paranormal investigation here at raf binbrook many years ago, was such a great day and night learning the history here and getting to know the owner. I'm glad to see the raf plane is still there. I'd definitely look forward to going back to this base. Such open areas and great dark skies. feel like just yesterday I was spending the night here. That's how much fun I had and remember it fondly. Glad to see a heritage site has been done for this peice of British military history
One of many museum's presently closed due to COVID and sadly looking in need of a bit of TLC . An amalgamation of both aircraft , Lightning's naturally , and some military vehicles but it lacks proper signage from the old camp access road . A privately run venture that could probably benefit from the help of local volunteers once life returns to normal ? Hopefully !
