This museum showcases the history of RAF Coltishall, a former Royal Air Force station in Norfolk, England. The centre features exhibits on the station's role in World War II, the Cold War, and its subsequent closure. Visitors can explore a recreated 1940s-style Nissen hut, view vintage aircraft and military vehicles, and learn about the lives of RAF personnel and their families through interactive displays and personal stories.
So much to see, so much history and so much enthusiasm and love from the staff. Pretty much intact and as it was when Jaguars, Spitfire etc roamed the taxi and runway. The stuff you will see. Those gorgeous hanger in all their glory. I will be going back there soon. A true gem on my doorstep. Thank you to all the guys who made our day there trully memorable. Great education and fun to be part of. We will fill your chairs once more. Respect! Big Thanks
Absolutely brilliant time at Coltishall Heritage Centre! The staff were so knowledgeable, funny and kind and very much included our 4 year old within the tour which was an added special touch. Please visit this very special place!
What a fantastic center! The staff were absolutely wonderful. We went thinking we were just gonna pop round a small museum and instead we had a full guided tour, and there was so much to see.
For anyone interested in photography, photo intelligence the RAF or Spitfires, Helicopter air sea rescue equipment or life inside a Guardroom do visit the heritage centre on Scottow Business Park. Formerly RAF Coltishall. For directions head towards HMP Bure. Allow a couple of hours. Very Good.
