I love this place, a unique set of different areas that include woodlands, gardens of roses with water features. In addition orchards. A lake with water liles. Rosemoor has its own little shop, 2 restaurants and toilets and garden centre. Such a beautiful place and most chilling in the relaxing sense on a sunny listening to the birds singing. Suitable for all people.
We had the most beautiful walk through the gardens visiting the water lily pond and seeing dragon flies of turquoise blue colour. We walked through the wonderful apple orchard of many varieties. We started the upper woodland walk but dropped down walking towards the different flower and herb gardens. Visited the greenhouse housing different tomato varieties and cucumbers. There were plenty of places to sit and just observe this beautiful garden. We also saw Shaun the sheep and they were beautifully decorated. The cafe was great with an assortment of cakes and drinks. I left feeling very inspired for my garden next year. Thank you Rosemoor for a lovely day :)
This is the third RHS site that we have visited and definitely the best! The gardens are huge and we had lots of fun following the Shaun the Sheep trail with the kids. Plenty of places for kids to explore and playgrounds throughout. If we are in the area again then we would definitely return!
Visited with my disabled wife who uses a mobility scooter, we had a very good visit. A significant difference between RHS sites and the NT are the paths. At the NT gravel is everywhere, the RHS have solid paths making navigation of the site a pleasure rather than a challenge! (We have cancelled NT membership due to the lack of access even in the gardens). Cafe good good, acceptable prices, the packaging of the good and drinks is all biodegradable... great but then when it comes to disposal this is not an option. It all goes in a non recyclable bin along with 'rubbish'. Area to improve...?
The gardens are so beautiful, so many plants to experience in the borders, we spent ages just looking and smelling. The plants for sale were a good price and all looked very healthy.
