Rayners Mead is a picturesque village located in the heart of the Surrey Hills, England. The village is surrounded by rolling hills, woodlands, and farmland, offering breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. The village is home to several historic buildings, including the 14th-century St. Martin's Church and the 16th-century Rayners Mead House. Visitors can explore the village's narrow lanes, visit the local pub, and enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and horse riding in the surrounding countryside.
It's a lovely small local park, with a gym and children areas, there's tens courts too. Local residents volunteers take care of The flowers wich are stunning. Love this place!
A small park. I play tennis here. There are 2 courts, with restricted space behind the baselines. Courts have to be pre booked online for PS5 an hour with concessions for pensioners etc.
This has been turned into yet another LTA/Premier Tennis location which has totally ruined it for the locals and the tennis playing volunteers who groom this beautiful little park free of charge. Now they like everyone else have to pay to use the tennis courts. The LTA/Premier Tennis seems to think by putting up new nets will change it. Also, trying to run sessions there will be a loss as there are no facilities there, no toilets, no parking and no disability facilities. This was a perfect little venue for all the local residents to use and play tennis but, has now been turned into yet another money grabbing enterprise for the LTA/Premier Tennis. Absolutely shocking.
An oasis in the busy heart of Rayners Lane. Been somewhere I've enjoyed since childhood. Now in my dotage I can be the grumpy old git sitting on the bench shouting at young people. Terrific.
