The Rea Swing Bridge is a pedestrian and cyclist swing bridge over the Birmingham Canal Navigations in Birmingham, England. The bridge is a striking example of modern engineering, with a sleek and curved design that allows it to swing open to permit canal traffic. When not in use, the bridge rests at a 45-degree angle, adding to its unique visual appeal. At night, the bridge is illuminated, making it a popular spot for photographers and sightseers.
Very pleasant walks along the tow path, great to see all the happy boating community & the jolly bridge keeper
Beautiful part of the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal. Some parking available so you can walk into Gloucester Docks along the hard surfaced towpath and enjoy all the cruisers and narrow boats on the canal on the way.
Beautifull peaceful place and the man doing the brige for big boats was super helpfull and friendly....some grumpy fisherman though....
Spring is on its way. The Rea is a beautiful area to walk the dog or just you!
Great bridge. Does it's job. Pleasant absence of any trolls living below it so goats can feel totally safe.
A pretty place by the canal, lovely flowers growing on the banks. On one side is busy Gloucester, on the other side lots of fields and farmland
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
