Reston Riverside Project. An area where the children can play, and the adults can sit back and relax. An ideal place for those summer picnics and gentle walks along the natural habitat. Watching the fish in the river as the birds fly by. Should there be the odd shower, the outdoor classroom or bandstand is a wonderful place to shelter, with seating inside a good place to hold those small kids' parties. With a permanent BBQ area nearby, great for those summer events. Please be mindful when walking dogs off a lead, there is children playing and not all children and adults know your dog. Please also be aware the bin provided is primarily there for dog waste and this is emptied by a volunteer, who has to carry this up to the bin on the roadside
What a beautiful walk and what a fantastic play area. I was so pleased we stumbled on it during a circular walk when visiting the area, and even happier to see it hadn't been vandalised or ruined like so many similar initiatives! As grownups we loved having somewhere nice to sit whilst the children played, and the equipment was nicer than other play areas typically offer. The children didn't want to go home! Even the adults enjoyed a go on the trim trail! We will visit again when we are next in the area!
Fantastic place a secret wee gem. We take the grand kids. I have plenty of fond memories playing at this river as a child.
Looked forward to visiting here, got the car and dogs packed up for wee afternoon visit. followed satnav and couldn't find it, so disappointed. Looked really good too. Maybe some signs.
