Revesby Abbey is a 12th-century Augustinian monastery situated in Lincolnshire, England. The abbey's architecture is a mix of Romanesque and Gothic styles, featuring a striking combination of red and yellow sandstone. The building's facade is adorned with intricate carvings, while its interior boasts stunning stained-glass windows, ornate stone tombs, and a tranquil atmosphere. The abbey's history dates back to 1143, and it has undergone numerous restorations and renovations over the centuries. Today, Revesby Abbey is a popular tourist destination, offering guided tours and hosting various events throughout the year.
An absolutely gorgeous building in an unfortunate state of disrepair. A lot of history to be seen if you can manage to have a sanctioned look around, as it is currently closed to the public, unless visiting during an event.
Went to thier country fair, to pics with bridge camera, hope the house is repaired in near future,
Beautiful historic stately home left to moulder for decades. A large delapidated renovation project with years of work left in it, ideal for urban exploration and / or paranormal investigation. Visited for a ghost hunt and was blown away by the decrepit halls and ruined decor open to the elements. Visitation by appointment only. May not be haunted but certainly a worthwhile visit if you're interested in exploring an abandoned estate and grounds.
Had a fabulous night ghost hunting with the wonderful UKGH team. The Abbey is a work in progress but is a beautiful building that is going through the painstaking process of being restored to its former glory. You can't go in to look round as a tourist as its still pretty much a building site but hopefully one day we will be able to see it in all its grandeur.
Attended a ghost hunt with Haunted Happenings a couple of weeks ago. No ghosts reported and very limited access to the Abbey made it a bit disappointing however, the building itself is awesome - just wish we could have been allowed outside of the basement !
Went with UK ghost hunts it was amazing, The Abbey is stunning and scary all at the same time so I would recommend it to everyone
