A long, sandy beach with calm and clear waters, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. The beach is surrounded by a picturesque promenade lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops, offering stunning views of the Irish Sea. The eastern end of the beach features a historic harbour, where visitors can watch fishermen unloading their catch or take a boat trip to nearby islands. The beach is also a popular spot for walkers and cyclists, with a scenic coastal path offering breathtaking views of the surrounding coastline.
Beautiful, clean little seaside town that's had some money invested in it, and it's delightful! The sand is clean, rock pools at low tide, just watch out for the jellyfish. Dog friendly for the majority of the beach apart from the bit right at the front near the shops, check the signage. Lovely walks along the promenade out towards Llandudno, if you go the other way towards Colwyn Bay there's a parking area and the walkway along the front has been kitted out with things for children to do. If you're feeling energetic there are exercise machines going up the hill, above the car parking area on the front.
This is the find of the North Wales coast. Absolutely fantastic seaside resort. This is a prime example of what a little investment can do for a place. The beach is long and sandy and clean with clear dog zones and no dog zones. A brand new promenade has been built giving Rhos-on-Sea a very Mediterranean feel as you walk down the front. Ample car parking at beach level (currently free June 24) and lots of seating along the promenade. I especially like all the modern sculptures and thing like solar powered charging seats. Along the beach is more than enough cafes, bars, restaurants and other activities like a park, swimming pool, crazy golf. We spent a week in North Wales travelling around and this was by far the highlight to find. Great place for everyone to visit in the nice weather.
This M&S is apparently only 3 months old (Dec 2023) and the modern design of the lay-out is 1st class, and, imho, is super inviting, just making you want to buy almost everything you see... () makes our new (3 yr old) m&s in Charlton London look old fashioned..! (If you're a M&S management person a note to say that this new lay-out design [lots of space is key]is definitely going in the right direction for an excellent/enjoyable food shopping experience.)
Great little harbour and beach for kids to play with amazing views
Great day out so much to see and do amazing staff will definitely visit again
This beach is honestly the best we visited in north wales. Shallow gradient in the water so kids don't get out of their depth, shops and a toilet near by.... Clean... crabbing pier.... What more can I say!!
