This castle is set in the most stunning little town. Every building looks wonderfully original and looked after. The entrance to the castle is via lovely cafe with the windows towards the courtyard. We only visited a walled garden and grounds. What a joy. Loved it

Beautiful place,Sylvia our tour guide was fun and informative. Just a shame you don't get any time in each of the rooms to have a good look at the things. It was in stand in a large group in small rooms and talking no time to have a good look. The victorian garden was beautiful well worth a visit but be aware it is a long walk there and round if you have disability issues as I have. Worth a visit.

A Delightful Day Out at Ripley Castle I recently had the pleasure of revisiting Ripley Castle, a historic estate that has been in the same family for an impressive 700 years. Unfortunately, the castle is now up for sale, which makes it even more imperative to visit this gem while you still can. I wish the Ingilby family all the best in their future endeavours. The castle and its grounds are truly breathtaking. The architecture and history of the estate are palpable, making for a fascinating and educational experience. Be sure to take a picnic with you and enjoy the serene surroundings, including the picturesque Ripley Lake. The scenery is simply stunning, and it's easy to see why this estate has been a beloved family home for centuries. After exploring the castle, take a stroll into the charming village of Ripley, which is just a stone's throw away from Harrogate town centre. The village is home to an array of delightful little shops and a cozy hotel & pub that serves as a warm and welcoming hub of the community. You'll feel like you've stumbled upon a hidden treasure, making it an absolute must-visit. Ripley Castle is a true gem that should be savoured before it changes hands. So do yourself a favour and plan a visit before just in case!

Just what i can say ... this place is so beautiful, tidy, and welcoming i loved my little one, loved, and we definitely go again there because the garden is massive, walking you can everywhere... just need time for this castle and garden. The last entrance to the castle is after 1 pm, we just walk around and enjoy the garden, river e.t.t. Spend for Garden 20PS two adults and children, but we will be there before 3 pm just 1h what there Spend. 4 pm is close! Definitely recommend!

Wonderful castle, full of interesting family stories. We had an excellent guide who was engaging and knowledgeable. Beautiful gardens full of colour. The peonies were particularly memorable. Lovely man working in the cafe welcomed us in and gave us our tickets. Friendly and welcoming and definitely worth the visit
