We are a small local Charity for adults with learning disabilities based at the beautiful Ripon Walled Garden. Free admission to the 4 acre site comprising the Walled Garden which has a small garden centre, cafe and shop. Enjoy exploring the beautiful gardens, orchard and woodland. A perfect place to spend time to relax and meet friends.
A beautiful place, with a lovely area to walk around, wheelchair paths. The cafe sells a good range of snacks and meals and the staff are really friendly and make you feel very welcome. Entry is free.
A lovely place to visit. Lots of surprises to admire in the gardens. Some great plants for sale, and at very fair prices. Their coffee is delicious and so are the cakes. We tried 2 different cakes and a scone. All 3 items way exceeded our expectations. Bit short of time or would have stayed for lunch. The quiches were coming out of the oven and smelt very appetising. Next time. Oh yes, all staff friendly, efficient and all know their stuff.
Cannot recommend this place highly enough !! Well worth a visit, such lovely gardens and a fabulous cafe !! Amazing cakes and great coffee !! Nice selection of plants for sale to choose from. The knitted Tank (June 2024) currently on display, in commemoration and remembrance of D-Day is absolutely fantastic to view and admire !! We were also treated to some wonderful live musical entertainment, on behalf of the lovely gentlemen singing a rendition of wartime songs, he definitely deserves a round of applause !! Every one of the staff are so friendly and efficient All in all a really nice place to visit, whilst also helping to support a worthwhile charity too
Pleasant garden. It was used as a special charity day with various stalls, children's games, plant sales, display of owls and a good cafe. It was dog friendly and had a nice picnic area. Parking nearby.
Such a pleasant place to wander around. The woods must be a haven for wild life. The cafe is good too.
The Ripon Walled Garden was a small piece of paradise when we visited during the Easter school break. There is a free car park by the entrance and once inside you are greeted by a small shop with refreshments and locally produced jams and chutneys. There is outdoor seating and a great play area for younger children. The gardens, woodland walk and orchard are flat with paved paths where possible. It felt very safe for two eight year olds to explore independently. Everyone we met greeted us with a smile and couldn't have been more helpful. Especially with the Easter trail that was running. We will definitely be return visitors and are looking forward to their new cafe that is planned for later in the year.
