I recently enjoyed a delightful boat ride with River Cruises in Cardiff, and it was an absolute treat. The beautiful scenery and nature along the river were incredibly alluring and fascinating. As we cruised from the city centre to Mermaid Quay, the sight of the riverbank adorned with beautiful flowers and ducks and swans gracefully swimming by, made the experience even more magical. It was a fun and amazing ride that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Cardiff, Wales.
Went on a group outing to get us down the bay in fantastic weather. Not sure if it's worth PS7.50 each single though. Should run a bit later than 5pm on a Friday during the summer.
Pleasant change from the train if you are travelling between the city centre and Cardiff Bay. The route along the river provides a different perspective on some of the City landmarks like the barrage and rugby ground. Lots of waterfowl to see along the route, including some cormorants (I think!). A little expensive at PS7 a head single but worth it for the views, although I must sdmit we took the train for the return journey. .
Nice experience, friendly staff, no need to book, you can pay in board cash or card, it is a quite long tour, with audio taking about Cardiff landmarks.
Good, quiet ride down the Taff river. Takes about 25 minutes to get down to Mermaid Quay. Well worth it for a different view of Cardiff.
Took one smaller boat out from Bute to the Bay and the Princess Katherine back. Same price but the larger boat was much more comfortable and had a useful commentary. The smaller one had quite a thrum from the engine. Pleasant staff on both with safety instructions. Useful service taking 22 mins.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
