A 45-acre park located in the heart of Greenwich, featuring a large lake, walking trails, and plenty of green space for picnics and relaxation. The park is also home to the Greenwich Ecology Park, a wildlife reserve with a variety of plants and animals, as well as the River Thames Path, which offers stunning views of the river and the city skyline. Visitors can also rent kayaks or paddleboards and enjoy the park's cafe and playground facilities.
Can't beat getting out there especially amidst the stunning Autumn colours. Wonderful Wheathampstead walk that starts at the car park in the village and wends it's way along the River Lea.
Great place for children of all ages.
Its a beautiful spot but can be busy My dogs loved the river Unfortunately locals are very rude and moan about you parking close by even for a short while. Not disabled friendly as no nearby parking area that locals won't moan at you for using.
See lots of people, at social distance of course. Lots of dogs sun was out, what more do need. Lovely walk. And sat by river for face to face chat instead of over phone. Made world of difference
PS2.50 for parking - pay on entrance by cash or card. Various routes by different lakes & the canal. Wide tarmac paths. Plenty of birds which were skating on areas of the lakes which were frozen.
A little over crowded in the sun but loads of room to sit, loads of places to walk and the river is refreshing when it's hot. It all seems clean even with everyone eating picnics and kids playing in the river.
Good for kids
Dogs allowed
