Old industrial buildings with displays on the Kennet and Thames, including a medieval mill wheel.
Really interesting museum with great stories from this side of Reading. It helps me understand better the importance of Kennet in Reading's town history.
Went here for my good friends wedding, can't recommend the place enough. Lovely venue, great staff & food was awesome
A haven of peace. If you are lucky you'll see a heron perched on the lock gates. Waiting...
Nice hidden museums on the back of an old Fuller's. Nice to see some historical pictures and old machines.
Out of the way, but with a fantastic pub / Inn next to it. Original sewage pump house for Reading (doesn't smell) with pistons, next to the river. Some history on travellers and the horse drawn caravan. Including one built in Reading. Poetry and art displayed in museum, from local artists. Eye opening!
Not really a museum but a small collection of curios and a very empty ancient pump house! Hard to find the entrance (basically have to walk through the pub courtyard area) and then it's two small outbuildings. The pub next door is lovely though!!!
