Robin Hoods Wheelgate Park 30 acres of family theme park, farm park and waterpark. The best value day out in Nottinghamshire on the edge of Sherwood forest. Get hands on with 100's of animals, birds and reptiles with round the clock activities for all ages. Go active on the assault course, outdoor play structures, slides and bridges, mazes, bumper boats, peddle karts, bouncy castles, zip slides and trampolines. Massive indoor play barns packed with rides and attractions including huge soft indoor play centres and ball blasters. Get Wet and Wild on the biggest outdoor splash park in the UK. Spin around on the coasters and carousel.
Today the weather wasn't the worst, although there was no sun, it rained only at the very end, around 4 p.m., so you could enjoy all the attractions. The great hill from which you slide down on a so-called carpet/doormat deserves great recognition, great fun! I went with my son several times! What really surprised us was the pedal helicopter! It was the first time I saw it and it's really cool, suspended high among the trees, just waiting for your muscular legs to start pedaling and then move through the unknown! Really a firecracker! Unfortunately, the splash area was open but due to the weather not being the best, there were only a few people there, we walked in for a while, walked up and left, we will definitely come back next year to check out all the slides when there is sun There is also a place with animals, of various kinds such as carousels and super cool two-person pontoons on the water, which by pressing one button you can spin tops or move in the direction of the steering wheel, there are two cannons on the side, so spectators or people standing on the shore can throw in PS1 and then give back PS10 shots, but both cannons did not work, although the staff was very nice because when they noticed that someone had put money in, they quickly returned it. The cannons fired at random times. Mini golf is also cool, but it should be added that it is included in the ticket price because there are parks where you have to pay extra for it. You can eat or drink something at every step, I also have a problem with the toilets, although unfortunately they are not fully functional, because I was in two different toilets and neither of them had hand dryers and both doesn't work. As my son said, a large wooden castle with large slides also works. There is one place that looks like a big fun place inside, but in the middle there is an attraction for children that has chairs around a pillar, goes up and falls down helplessly. Very nice, you can eat something downstairs, there is soft play for the little ones and upstairs for the bigger ones, but unfortunately despite the relative weather - it was cloudy, about 20deg, it was very hot upstairs and after half an hour we had to go out to get some fresh air :) overall, the park is 5 stars the friendly team working there is always helpful, so keep it up and I'll come back next year :))) thank you again
I was expecting the usual overpriced and rundown park. I was completely wrong. Yes, there were some parts that needed some attention, yet it was, in a much greater part Very well cared for. Our two grandchildren were very busy going from one place to another. Spotting the dinosaurs, going on ride, climbing, bouncing etc. the water park kept them enthralled for a good few hours. Plenty of staff there to keep the place safe too. There are plenty of well placed toilets. Places to buy drinks and food . Car parking aplenty, well staffed too. Any criticisms? Not really. A touch of paint here and there maybe. A bit of maintenance too. Personally we thought it was good value for money and we are highly likely to visit again A word of praise to the staff there. Throughout the day we only encountered a happy and helpful bunch of staff. It's always easy to complain about things, yet I would like to thank all the staff there. Thanks for making our grandchildren's day so memorable (and our day so easy)
Great place to take the family. Went recently with my daughters and the grand kids.... Everyone had a blast. Indoor play areas are great fun and the outdoor splash park is fabulous - if not a little chilly unless the day is REALLY HOT.... Difficult to get in if you don't have any kids with you...... crazy rules dictate unaccompanied adults won't be let in.... We got there after the family so they'd had to come and meet us at the gate to prove who we were - even though I had paid the complete entrance fee online and had printed proof of this with us.....just a little OTT if you ask me...... In general, a great day out for families of all ages.
Reasonable priced food not to bad ticket prices covers all rides our nearly 7 year old had a fantastic day busy from minute arrived to going home at 4.45 the only disappointing thing was the toilets a bit worse for use. I have to say the shop stuff where brill a young boy started with a nose bleed and the young man there sorted it straight away .
It is a good theme park for the kids and family. We came here, and our daughter enjoyed all the rides. There are plenty of things to see and do from the toddlers' rides to the indoor rides and soft play for little kids. The cafe had a nice selection of food which we enjoyed.
Probably my new best day out place for toddler's. Once we had paid to get in almost was included, except food obviously, and a hand fully of amusement games. My little grand daughter came home really tired, she play all day. Lots of little kid rides, soft play, bouncy castles type things and a massive water park, many under cover and plenty of places for us old ones to sit and have a coffee while they play. Even lunch was reasonably priced, just slightly more tha MCDONALD'S prices for a 100% beef burger and chips we had. Two extra things worthy of a special mention. There was lots of places to eat a picnic on a nice day and the atmosphere was very relaxed, so much for kids to do and even on a hot summer Saturday the queues for the rides were very small, 5 to 10 mins max for us.
