This historic pier in Rochester, Kent, stretches 1,140 feet into the Medway Estuary, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. Built in 1893, the pier features a charming Victorian-era design, with a picturesque pavilion at its entrance. Visitors can stroll along the pier, taking in the sights and sounds of the estuary, or stop at one of the many cafes and restaurants along the way. The pier is also a popular spot for fishing, with many anglers coming to try their luck.
Rochester Pier is known for its stunning views and yacht's. Unfortunately, as of now, the pier is closed due to structural concerns.
At one time a good viewing platform for the river, regrettably closed for a long time now on account of the structure being deemed unsafe. For better views take a walk by the river or cross the Rochester road bridge instead.
I really love going here to take photographs. As you can view here on google maps my photograph of the sunset over the river, the location makes it a wonderful place to capture beautiful shots.
Really pretty area
A lovely place in the sun to relax and unwind and the castle is just magnificent. I used to reside down the Esplanade Rochester an its a wonderful place so full of history.
Not a pier bit a bridge, built to replace the original medieval crossing. Has some lovely ironwork on it and looks beautiful lit up in the evenings
