A secluded glamping site nestled in the rolling hills of the Welsh countryside, offering luxurious safari-style tents, each equipped with real beds, fine linens, and plush furnishings, surrounded by tranquil nature and scenic hiking trails.
Loved it in 2023, staff are great, but felt like they had cut corners this time around. Fewer beers available, toilets and showers didn't seem quite as good. Last year the shuttle buses were super regular, very much less so this year. I'm not sure they listened to or acted on any of the feedback from the previous year. Nothing worse than feeling you've been a bit cheated.
Really nice and relaxing.. wasn't hard to find and had no problems getting in. Best experience for download yet
Really quite a decent RIP option for Download Festival. A peaceful and well run campsite a fair distance from the flight path so less of a problem with aircraft noise. Personally I only queued for a shower for about 15 minutes maximum and they were hot throughout the stay. Similarly the toilets were cleaned frequently and continually available. The site had a decent metal track laid to assist vehicle movements which would be useful if the weather turned bad - thankfully not needed this year but good to know they had considered it. The only thing stopping this being a 5 star review was the price of drinks on site - significantly more expensive than in the Arena (I do appreciate they had to make a profit), also they appeared shut a few times when were supposed to be open. Keeping to scheduled opening times probably would have helped with the atmosphere and increased the number of people socialising (perhaps increasing the profit without the need for excessive prices). Something to consider for next year.
Fantastic place to help make your Donington Festival weekend an experience you won't forget.
