Very old and unspoilt area. Beautiful brown Buzzard being ordered for food by a noisy baby buzzards.
Lovely walk, peaceful and quiet through the woods, following the stream down to the river. Mainly dog walkers about. Took offroad pushchair for little one. Some areas tough to navigate with it but manageable. Not a large area to walk round but good for an hour's fresh air. Plenty of parking on nearest road "The New Cut". The main gate entrance is very narrow to stop people with bikes etc getting through so be aware with a pushchair/buggy. Lift over job if with other people. I was on my own, but fortunately I can unhook a tyre and fix back on once through the entrance.
A lovely little woods with the river running through it - plenty of little paths for the kids to run about, but it's not a massive area, so take a gentle stroll ;-)
Beautiful setting for a refreshing walk. Visited in summer: ground soft underfoot in places but perfectly fine in casual shoes. Tree cover meant it was lovely and cool. Would recommend getting your bearings on Google Maps before going in, or (better still) downloading a footpath map from OpenStreetMap.
Nice place for short hikes
Great place for to loose a few hours, not a massive place and can be covered pretty easily but plenty of litter free nature to look at. A few places to try and cross the river.
