Had the most amazing day out!! The kids absolutely loved it! We had a rover ticket, so we could get on & off all day long. Took in some great sights & places on long the route. Would 100% recommend it for a great family day out!! An will definitely do it again!
Great place and lovely railway. We visited on holiday and went on a trip, was on this for 3 hours. Good little railway This station is the HQ of the railway. The model railway (separate charge) was great. Lots to see and massive layout. Exploring the sheds was good to.
What a great day out! We bought hop on, hop off rover tickets, allowing us to look aroundall the stops. There's something to see at each one. The rides were a lot of fun, as was seeing all the comings and goings at Romney, like engine changes. All ran to time. Station gift shops and cafes were well used, too.
Absolutely loved it on the trains, the kids enjoyed the ride & the smell of the steam engines. Parking was rubbish, ended up Parking off site at hythe station due to no available spaces. Highly recommended to all ages. The lighthouse at dungeness is a must....if you don't mind heights.
Such a brilliant experience on this unique gem of a railway! I have always wanted to visit and was not disappointed. We went all the way out to Dungeness and walked around there as well which made for a great day out. Make sure to visit the heritage centre on the way. Fun for all the family and kids love it all the more for it being on their scale. Do it!
