I've just had my hen party here and we all had a blast! The weekend from start to finish was perfect! Alistair and the whole family were so accommodating with us all and took our hen antics in their stride and even got involved to ensure I had the best time! Freddie the dog was just the best addition. Coming round to the barn relaxing with us all. James even took some of our party to have a look at the new puppies. We stayed in the luxury camping barn which was just perfect..... two pods slept 6 each in beds and 2 pods slept 5 each with mats on the floor - the mats were actually really comfortable. We had a hot sunny weekend and despite this the pods stayed quite cool. The barn itself was a good size for us all and provided all amenities we expected. We had a full day of activities, Archery, quad biking, go karts, human bowling, argocat and rifle shooting. Each activity was well organised and all levels of ability were taken into account and help provided to those that needed it. Despite completing a full day of activities we never felt rushed or like we were on a tight schedule, it was really relaxed. The site was beautiful and well maintained. 100% I would recommend and would go back. There is something for everyone to do there. Thank you to Alistar and family for hosting us all. Visited here with my staff for clay pigeon shooting, great fun, plenty of cartridges and pretty new guns. Alister the owner give advise to the newbies and was very funny, wouldn't have been as much fun without him, second visit here and now planning a full day with my guys. Give it a go you won't be disappointed

It's an amazing place to go. Full of adventures. Kids love the place and enjoy all the thrilling activities. Friendly staff and definitely will come back.

Fantastic place, highly recommended to anyone who likes great atmosphere and loads of fun!!! We've done the horse tracking(spectacular), archery(harder then it looks), clay shooting(A-amazing), karting(don't take it to serious and you will die of laughter), quad bikes(took it easy as it was our first time). The guys working there are all very friendly and funny, great time guaranteed!

Located close to the A66 and the North part of the lakes, Rookin House offers a wide variety of outdoor and some indoor activities. We tried out some archery and were lucky enough to catch a good weather day in February! The session was fully supervised and basic tuition was provided. We all enjoyed it. It was quite expensive and the outside area would have benefitted from some seating and somewhere to put coats. Overall we were happy with the session.
