A picturesque beach with soft white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water, surrounded by rugged cliffs and scenic coastal paths, offering stunning views of the Irish Sea and the surrounding countryside.
Gorgeous hot day had a picnic in the car was lovely got some beautiful photos to maybe paint sometime.
Splendid views of the Mourne Mountains on a clear day. I visited when the tide was out and there was plenty of sand on the beach but I suspect that the beach is very narrow at high tide. There are plenty of rock pools to explore at low tide too. There is an information board in the car park. I estimate that the car park could hold around fifteen vehicles. Unfortunately there was a lot of plastic marine pollution along the high tide line so we took some away. It would be helpful if all visitors removed a couple pieces of plastic to help save this nice environment. This beach is definitely worth visiting at low tide and on a good weather day of you are in the local area.
Quite a bit of rubble and mess before getting to the sand. But a nice quiet beach after that.
Beautiful beach. Went for a swim November time! Be careful of rocks in water as sliced my leg whilst running in as they are hidden under the water level. Small car park for a couple cars. Nobody else was on the beach!
Nice access, limited parking.
Beautiful sandy beach with rocks and rock pools to explore. Lovely view of the Mourne Mountains from the beach.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
