About
Rothes Castle is a 16th-century tower house located in the village of Rothes, Moray, Scotland. The castle features a rectangular plan with four storeys and an attic, built from local rubble stone with ashlar dressings. The entrance is through a doorway on the south side, which leads to a vaulted basement. The main rooms are on the first floor, including a hall, kitchen, and bedrooms. The castle's architecture is characterized by crow-stepped gables, a feature commonly found in Scottish tower houses. Rothes Castle is now a private residence, but its historical significance and architectural interest make it a notable attraction in the region.

Nice viewpoint. Not much of the castle left to see. Good starting point for a walk. Info boards are a nice touch for showing what was once here. Small carpark, barely enough for 3 cars. Other walks nearby are signposted
It's a nice wall. Very rugged and stony. Some square holes for floor joists. Could maybe do with a good artists impression of what the castle might have looked like in its day. Fantastic viewpoint. Some nice distilleries to visit nearby
Waste of time... Bit of a wall.. That's it..
