I am not 100% sure we went to the right place We were looking for a dog walking place in the area, followed Google map instruction, stopped where it said we arrived. Tried to walk around... Fence, barb wire and no public access signs everywhere, nothing like the Google photos show.... It was a big disappointment there is a new estate... Maybe it was built on the reserve ... Not sure, but we don't go there anymore, not worth it
Small but lovely reserve
Small nature reserve in an old ironstone quarry. Doesn't take long to walk around, and there are some interesting plants and wildlife to be seen!
Saw a hare and several birds. Very secluded. Take a friend.
Hidden gem on outskirts of Rothwell
Nice fantastic place
Good for kids
