A picturesque waterfall located in Northumberland, England, surrounded by lush greenery and scenic walking trails, cascading 10 meters down a rocky slope into a serene pool, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
Exactly where Google maps & OS maps says it is.... ignore the sign painted on the fence, I understand the locals don't want people passing through or the lack of parking may cause problems. There is a restricted byway sign then just beyond that is a public footpath sign..... Lovely little waterfall and pool not as deep as expected
Cracking waterfall. Lovely little spot. Went with my nieces Amy and Jade. We had a walk from the fishing lakes. Looking forward to going bakc there and exploring more of the area and enjoying some more walking. The fishing lakes let us have some cooked food from there.
This small cascade is on private land and not accessible from public footpaths. There is no place to park at the top of the road. There is a much larger and legally accessible waterfall also called Roughting Linn (or Routin Linn) near Doddington at TD15 2QF where you can also find the impressive Cup-and-Ring marked rocks.
Drove the suggested Google route and ended up on private property, the owner was very kind but informed us that strictly there is no public access to this waterfall
Lovely little spot not easy to locate, but worth it!! We left the car at the fisherie entrance and had a lovely ~2km walk, just before the estate get down to the river and follow the stream up
