I had such a lovely time at Kew Gardens. There was so much to see I could have spent so much longer! There was lots of beautiful greenhouses to explore with huge collections of plants around the world. I had such a great time visiting and will be returning. The grounds are incredibly well maintained and such a good place to go walking.
Had a beautiful day walking around Kew gardens. We spent about 5 hours walking the grounds and also went through the palace. We definitely could have spent more time there. Got lucky with the weather being spectacular. They have done a great job keeping the grounds and spaces looking beautiful.
The place itself is great. There are several greenhouses (closing at 5pm) and big gardens that you can enjoy with nice weather. It's a bit sad that the tranquility of the place is ruined by planes constantly overflying the gardens. Otherwise a totally recommendable experience.
Beautiful botanic gardens to the west of London. I hadn't been in several years so decided to come back with my partner on a Sunday when the weather was agreeable. This place certainly hasn't lost any of its magic. The entrance is located just a few minutes walk from a couple of stations (Kew Bridge and Kew Gardens). We arrived later in the day and there were no queues. There is a discounted entry rate if you arrive at 16:00, which was great because we still had 4 hours to enjoy the site but the gardens were almost empty. That said, you could easily spend a full day here. Stunning conservatories housing a range of plants from all corners of the globe. I also really enjoyed the views from above on the Treetop Walkway. Brilliant way to spend the day. I'll definitely be back.
After a number of times, meaning to go to Kew Gardens, I finally made it there and was so glad to have done so. Not knowing what to expect and being very much into nature and wildlife, I was not disappointed with my visit. The lawns were so perfectly manicured, with the various trees so well shaped and tended to they were marvellous to see and photograph. It is a wonderful place to visit with a great deal to see and do, but one will need enough time to see everything in one day.
Spent a good three or so hours exploring the grounds and various buildings, covering some serious ground! It's a lot bigger than we thought, with plenty of paths to wander away from the hotspots. The Princess of Wales greenhouse is like a maze, so many rooms and areas to explore. Didn't bother eating at the restaurants in the grounds as seemed quite pricey. Well worth a visit!
