Museum in the pump house recounting Harrogate's story as a spa town, plus sulphur water tasting.
Cashless, so make sure you are prepared. PS4 entrance fee for adults. You can get round the place in 10 minutes. Lovely building/museum. Very informative around the history of Harrogate springs.
Wonderful visit to the Pump Rooms when in Harrogate last week. Such an interesting small museum with lovely welcoming. enthusiastic staff. Loved the displays and videos - such in depth information about Harrogate and the spa bars and treatments. Would deffo recommend a visit and cheap at the price at PS3 entrance fee and right next to the free Mercer Art Gallery too.
Interesting piece of history - small museum but worth a look. Only complaint is that they have videos constantly running in each area which is very distracting when trying to read the info boards.
Interesting piece of Harrogate's victorian heritage. Well worth a visit. Make sure to give the sulphur waters a taste through the tap outside the building.
Two years ago I wanted to visit but it was closed. So I decided to come back because I really wanted to visit this museum. It's quite small but you learn a lot about the past of Harrogate. It's very interesting to see how they used to live and how popular was the water of Harrogate. We spent an hour but we were really interested. If not you can clearly visit in less than 10 minutes.
Love the black and gold cast iron extension, quintessentially Victorian architecture.
