A great place to discover nature and enjoy the outdoors with over 400 acres of woodland, heathland and meadows to enjoy - a fabulous site for walking, cycling, horse riding and wildlife with cafe, visitor centre and events. View herons nesting in Spring from our outdoor cafe terrace, discover fairy doors and the Giant's Chair along our Sculpture Trail, walk the dog, specialist cycling facilities with Rushmere Ridge Riders cross country trail and jump area, ride your horse - we've something for everyone. Managed by environmental charity The Greensand Trust, working in partnership with Central Bedfordshire Council, the park is run on a not-for-profit - we rely on your support for our work.
The visitors' centre has toilets, a small shop and a cafe with a nice selection of tea and coffee as well as pastry and lunch food. Outside, there is a sitting area with beautiful views. They have binoculars to see the Heron's nests.
The park has lots of lovely walks around it, both in the woods and through the heath land. The new cafe and viewing platform are great as well, we saw lots of Herons and Red Kites.
A lovely place to visit. Cheap car parking (PS3 all day Summer 2021 - PS6 Spring 2022). Lots of walks into woodland and grasslands. When you move away from the cafe areas you feel as if you are in the middle of the countryside. A beautiful lake area. Some paths are steep but worth the effort, as we saw many woodpeckers amongst other sightings. Good for the childrenn too as along the main surfaced path there are fairy doors and a giant's chair for them to see.
A wonderful day out. Beautiful woods and lakes with the added bonuses of fairy doors and gorgeous wooden sculptures. There is absolutely loads to explore and what a fantastic way to get children out and about. There was something new around every corner. The fairy doors are such a brilliant idea and kept my 4 year old entertained beyond belief. There is a lovely area for picnics, and toilet facilities. A cafe, a huge slide (closed in wet weather) bike tracks, play area for young children. Dogs are welcome, and all for PS3 to park. Definitely park at rushmere if you have buggies! Not at stockgrove! And i would recommend either a carrier or all terrain buggy if its muddy/wet. Believe me you'll thank me! Cant wait to visit over the summer!
Fantastic walking in this beautiful forest with lots to see and do. There is an art trail made from wood. We found blackberries to pick. A park for young children and a cafe with inside or outside seating. Sadly dogs cannot sit inside. Parking is PS3 for all day, pay coins or buy a token in the resteraunt. Highly recommended the Jaffa orange cake, very yummy.
First time visiting and beautiful place to go. Loads of space, lots of walks though the forest with plenty of wood carvings as you go. Had a small food and drink shop and someone selling ice creams in the field. Toilets clean. Cheap parking for as long as you're there at PS3
