Educational activities and events are regularly held on site, promoting conservation and environmental awareness.
I have enjoyed every single second in this area. It was a bit rainy but we could still see owls, vultures and eagles. It was an amazing experience to cuddle and owl, smokey. We will definitely visit again for more birdies and animals. Strongly suggesting.
Loved the place, we were there about 2 hours as we looked around a few times and went through the woods too. Great selection of owls and birds of prey, not too pricey to get in. The ashey faced barn owls were just stunning, Smudge was a great owl to stand and watch. Loved it would recommend
Amazing place to visit, recommend in 101%! You can enjoy the relaxing walk in the forest but also see beautiful birds which will definitely say 'hello' to you. Peter and Chris will share their broad knowledge about all little friends as well as big cats. It is very impressive how all animals are very well looked after and seem just simply... happy. I will definitely come back!
Excellent day out yesterday so many birds to see and the big cats were amazing. Enjoyed watching the birds fly and getting to hold one too. Would highly recommend for a great day out
Amazing place a real gem , beautiful birds , huge variety of owls , looking forward to going back . Take your own food and drink though as there's no cafe
First thing to explain is that there are two parts to this site - the falconry centre and the big cat sanctuary. The latter is only open on a few days of the year which you have to book for ( see website). It isn't a zoo - the cats here have been taken in because they are no longer wanted. You do get access to the falconry as well if you go on one of the cat visits. We went to see and hear about the cats. Great setting for them in a wood and Chris really cares about them. Nice to see big cats not just walking up and down all day. Great mix of owls and raptors in aviaries in the woods. Looks a little tired, car park isn't very big and loos are porta loos in the car park (readon for losing a star) but staff are all friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Picnic tables
Public toilet
Good for kids
