Travel through time and experience the North York Moors through our historic buildings and collections.
Interesting place to visit. A step back in time. A member of staff when we paid to enter was very helpful . PS10 per adult which if you sign the card is a yearly pass from date of purchase.
This museum was stunning. Beautifully kept, stunning buildings, moved stone by stone, interesting interiors. Very friendly ,knowledgeable staff , great gift shop. Fascinating exhibition on "witchcraft". Ee only went because the weather was so bad! Your ticket lasts a year and 10% of local cafes and we had super cream tea. I don't know what more they can do to promote themselves....just go, it's a great place to visit. And you can feed the pigs!!!
First visit for many years. Dog friendly inside and out, PS10 gets you an annual pass. Fascinating place to visit in the heart of the Yorkshire Moors, dedicated staff and volunteers have created a great resource for the history of the area, buildings saved, and faithfully rebuilt on site, information, history, industrial heritage, learn how the normal person once lived. Plus great pubs/cafes next door. Ideal base for exploring the moors and coast
A great day out for children and adults of all ages. We went with our 3 and 5 year old and we all had a wonderful day. It was interesting, lots of good outdoor space and activities (ride on tractors and throw the beanbag at the ducks were favourites). Really interesting to see the old shop, cottages and pharmacy. We went across to the beck opposite the museum after visiting which was also enjoyed by all. Would recommend for a lovely day out :)
The welcoming by reception staff was extremely nice and so polite. Apart from being generally very informative the staff were keen to point out the places to see around this large site. The whole museum was clean and well presented. Well worth a visit.
We visited on a miserable day, well worth the visit. 6.5 acres to walk round, a variety of buildings to look into. It gives you an insight of how people used to live Good value for money, as your ticket is valid for a year.
