Dive in to an amazing journey through the original Victorian architecture of the oldest operating aquarium in the world, built in 1872. Look out for the dazzling scales, gigantic teeth and fantastic fins of our 5,500 mesmerising creatures and get closer to them than ever before.
Decent place for a day out but I don't feel it's worth it for the price, especially when paying PS66 for 2 adults and 3 half price children tickets! We went on a day where kids were half price at PS9 but PS18 for a kids ticket in general is very overpriced for what's on offer. Although a beautiful site, it's quite small and you can easily walk around the site within an hour, it took us 1.5 hours as we walked very slowly and took lots of pictures. There's a cafe in the middle with snacks, drinks and ice cream and you can also pay extra for VR experiences or to go on a glass boat trip. Would be nice to have more talk sessions throughout the day too. Staff are lovely and always happy to help.
Great day out. I'd recommend booking your ticket in advance and make sure you get a ticket for the glass boat, you won't be disappointed. It's a really enjoyable day out for all the family. There is a small cafe and gift shop.
Inspiring place. The architecture is astounding. I'd love to go when it's empty or to an adults only day. But even so, it's worth a visit. Canteen is in a fabulous spot, but the coffee and snack options needs to be better.
A not very big but quite beautiful aquarium. It has a special appearance, being very old (obviously it has been renovated over time). You somehow have the impression that you have returned to the Victorian era. You need about an hour to visit it, maybe 90 minutes. The tanks and habitats are small. It is not one of the most beautiful or largest, impressive aquariums I have seen, but it is worth visiting. The price, a bit high for what it offers...
This was a lovely way to spend the morning. Nice and clean, staff were very knowledgeable about the animals. Every staff encounter we had was warm and friendly. It did feel a little small, however with a toddler acting like Flash Gordon round the exhibits, this may have been a factor!
It's a great place for a family visit, but for sure overpriced... 20 PS !!! Yes it's a tourist city! Yes the running costs are high but 20 PS is very expensive! Anyhow it's clean and tidy!! Couple of small parts where closed due refurbished. Staff are friendly! Can be load and crowded at times but they have time slot entry system so it's manageable!
On-site services
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Getting tickets in advance recommended
Good for kids
