A day out at SEA LIFE Weymouth is fun for all the family! Explore an amazing underwater world at SEA LIFE Weymouth. With over 2,500 creatures to see and Caribbean Cove, our super adventure playground, there's lots to see and do. Unlike other SEA LIFE Centres, SEA LIFE Weymouth is uniquely set across a 14 zones with both indoor and outdoor exhibits - perfect to visit in any weather!
Really great place, we spent all day there. It is set over a few acres and lots is outdoors so possibly not for a really rainy day but we had a half cool half hot day, and it worked beautifully. The displays are really interesting, with only The Wetlands being a bust really..they must be doing repairs at the moment. Little pool and fountains for warm days will keep kids busy for ages. Recommend a visit, it's a lovely day. You can take your own food or eat there. Staff very friendly. No free parking but as a cost of the day out its fine. Book online only but there are deals.
VISIT DATE: FRI 26/07/2024 Weymouth Sea Life Centre is a really great venue for a day out. There are so many different zones to explore, with lots of interactive activities, including the rock pool area (watch out for when the tide comes in!) and inside the turtle sanctuary, where you can also learn about how pollution / discarded rubbish is impacting our seas and oceans. Stop for lunch in the Caribbean Cove, which has a great play area for kids, as well as a picnic lawn and cafe where you can get a sandwich and a hot drink - prices are reasonable for this type of venue. On a hot sunny day make sure you've got swim wear as your kids will love to cool down in the Splash Play zone, which has fountains and a little pool. The park is fully accessible, with level paths and plenty of seating. There are also toilets at various points and there whole site is easy to get round with maps provided at reception. Staff are friendly and helpful. Tickets are quite expensive, so look online for discounts or pick up a leaflet in advance from tourist information points, or leaflet stands in your accommodation as you can save up to a third. Also, book your tickets in advance. Finally, park in the car park for the Brewers Fayre / Premier Inn as it is cheaper than the one for Lodmoor Park, but is right next to it!
Having been to many sea life centres, this one is a little disappointing. A few attractions seem closed (wet lands, boats etc) and a little on the small side. Better for younger children. But tickets online first. They do not accept on gate purchase. They make you buy on your phone.
Such an incredible attraction to visit. Plenty to do and see, perfect place to bring children or even children at heart. The staff were very friendly, the talks and feeds were great to see throughout the day, you can take it at your own pace. I would recommend buying tickets in advance online, but the only negative is that you have to pay for the car park (which isn't cheap) as well as entry to the park; other than that, so worth it!
Had a great time visiting the Sealife Centre. Great place, loads of different animals, lovely park to play at and the splash area is great too. I went with my parents (one of which is in a wheelchair) and 3 children aged 6, 10 and 16. Plenty of things to see which kept all of us busy. Will return next time we visit Weymouth.
Nice aquarium with a good selection of aquatic life, the usual rays, clownfish, small sharks, lionfish, eels, leafy sea dragons, sea horses and a tank full of very still piranhas, jellyfish, even some axolotl!! Seal feeding, fairy penguin feeding a good outdoor play area, kids meal deal was fairly well priced, sandwich,fruit,2 snacks and a drink for 5.25. animal feeding times were printed on the map you get so no need to photograph the times on the boards..all in all a good place to go but it's definitely not a full day out we had done it all in 2 and a half to 3 hours
