This popular aquarium features thousands of marine creatures from around the world, including sharks, stingrays, and sea turtles. The attraction is home to a vast array of marine life, with over 500 species housed in 14 themed zones. Visitors can walk through a 360-degree ocean tunnel, offering a unique underwater experience, and interact with the marine animals at the touch pools. The aquarium also features a large shark tank, a stingray-filled bay, and a colorful coral reef display.
We visited during the week as a large group. It was a lot bigger than we expected. We spent about 3 hours here, having a good look at the fish. They look well cared for and have plenty of room. There were a couple of stalls on the way round offering face paints, glitter tattoos and braids. Unfortunately the little drink shop was closed. The site is very warm and humid. I imagine as there's no windows, lots of visitors and no doubt the tanks need to be kept at a certain temperature. We found the heat a bit uncomfortable at times so we'd recommend taking enough to drink. The vending machines were out of action as well. There were quite a few penny press machines dotted about that you could only pay by card with. They were a bit temperamental. The gift shop seemed reasonably priced, not over the top like some attraction gift shops. Overall it was a lovely day out, we even got to see a lot of baby seahorses. They also offer a photo on the way round that you can purchase when you exit. A great memory of the day
One of our best days out so far! Great place to visit for all ages. Plenty of places to sit and rest as there is a lot of walking once inside! Our favourite was the Sharks, to see them up close and see all their teeth was amazing! The penguins too, were a favourite, they were very funny to watch with all their antics underwater. A great day out.
Started well, but to be honest? Wasn't really my cup of tea.. For me? It was too dark with low ceilings, I actually found it hard to walk comfortably without the worry of tripping. Whist most of the tanks were relatively spacious (doubt the sharks and the fish would agree, relative..), I thought the penguin enclosure seemed extremely small? I'm not an expert, by any means, and of course, we have no idea about their non-public space, nay be huge! Was it worth PS40? For me, absolutely not, but you might. Maybe I'm not used to London rates. Absolutely superb for the children and many adults. Interesting and very informative and educational. There's also face painting, plenty of rest spaces, games and toilets, plus 100% spot on for getting you in as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The variety of marine life on display was impressive, from colorful tropical fish to majestic sharks and graceful rays. The exhibits were well-designed and informative, making it easy to learn about the different species. The highlight for me was walking through the glass tunnel with sea creatures swimming overhead. It was a relaxing and enjoyable solo visit, perfect for anyone interested in marine life. Highly recommend!
Sea Life London is a fantastic aquarium for families with young children. We recently visited with my 2-year-old son and we had a wonderful time exploring all the different underwater exhibits. The aquarium is well laid out with plenty of interactive displays and tanks at eye level for little ones. My son was mesmerized by the colorful fish, sharks, and jellyfish swimming around us. The highlight for him was definitely the touch pool where he got to feel starfish and sea anemones up close. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of opportunities for us to learn about the different sea creatures we were seeing. Overall, Sea Life London is a great day out for families with young children. It's the perfect mix of entertainment and education, and my son is already asking when we can go back!
BEST part of my city trip... I didn't anticipate I'd enjoy the aquarium as much as i did... It's a huge place with all sorts of water life... Even penguins and big sharks!!! Choose a weekday if you can because it would be less crowded, but would definitely recommend everyone to visit atleast once!!
