Great day out with the kids for this! So much to see and do, and the adventure packs that they have are great for keeping the kids engaged. The staff were super friendly and the talks were great. We got to see the penguins swimming around, and the kids enjoyed the seals playing in the water. It is a shame we couldn't bring the puppy, but had a great day out otherwise.
We visited today on a windy day. It's a really impressive setup. We caught all the talks we wanted to see. All very informative. We particularly loved the penguins and how the keeps knew their personality. As a teacher I liked the naughty and nice boards. Highly recommend and the golf was good too.
A rainy day in Scarborough forced us to seek refuge indoors. This was a great day out and would recommend. Kids had a great time and we spent a few hours taking our time going round. Cafe was expensive and basic for what was on offer.
We went to sea life on our way home. We had stayed for a long weekend and decided to visit before our journey back. We loved it I went with my daughter, grand son and grand daughter. My grandkids loved it. My grand daughter loved the sensory input. My daughter captured an amazing picture that we love. We've been to a few sealife centres and Scarborough was a favourite. Access for pram was great through separate doors but didn't miss anything. What amazing creatures we have your turtle came swimming towards her and stopped staring at her then swam away.
Really nice day out. They not accepting cash. Is better to book online so is a bit cheaper. Car park is pay and display. You can see how they feeding animals and listen about them from keepers.
Really enjoyable trip. Feels like it's very up close & personal. You can get very close to the enclosures / tanks even when it's busy which is very engaging for the children. The talks / feedings were very interesting and well timed so you weren't hanging around too much. The interactive stations for the kids were a great idea - my 6yr old loves the turtle rescue area. Lots of picnic benches to sit at. And surrounding views of the Scarborough coast are wonderful. Parking is tight & a tab expensive. PS5 odd for 3 hours - although it's to be expected by a council run place anywhere that attracts tourists! Street parking along the entry road is aviialbe if you can get in / don't mind a short walk. Only thing that lets it down is the Cafe which was a bit chaotic - long queues and not kept very clean. Only one staff member on tills / doing drinks but lots of others floating around. Also found it very expensive for what you got. Definitely take your own food if you're staying across lunch.
