A series of pools and gates that help salmon and other fish navigate the River Don, allowing them to swim upstream to their natural spawning grounds.
I often go to this location which at times can be busy, especially week day lunch times. This is because it has a car park making it very handy to just turn up, sit and enjoy your meal with some nice relaxing views. There are various picnic tables which also seem to get some good use at any time. The area is generally well kept and although a lot of dog walkers use the location, I am pleased to say that it's very rare to find dog mess. All in all, a nice spot to stop awhile and take a break.

Lovely place to stop off. Free parking and 5 min walk into town to shops and toilets. Fish chips are excellent as well.
Nice place to have a bite to eat and a bongo
Sat with my family and watched a Heron fishing here. It's also possible to watched salmon leaping here at certain times of year. Beautiful!
