This 15-inch gauge railway runs for 1.2 miles through the scenic Saltburn Valley, offering a nostalgic and fun experience for visitors of all ages. The railway features a range of locomotives, including steam, diesel, and petrol-powered trains, which pull carriages that are designed to resemble those of the 19th century. Along the route, passengers can enjoy the picturesque views of the valley, which includes woodland, farmland, and the scenic Saltburn Beck. The railway also offers themed events and activities throughout the year, such as Santa Specials and Easter Egg Hunts, making it a great day out for families.
This is a fantastic little train ride for train lovers and kids alike. It doesn't last long, but it's a beautiful, scenic journey through the park, and it's an absolute bargain at PS3 return for adults. I enjoyed taking the train to the end and walking back through the woods. This railway is run by volunteers who are lovely and friendly, and you can really feel their love for this delightful little railway. This is definitely a must visit for any family during their trip to Saltburn.
The grandchildren loved riding g kn the train, and a wonderful cafe at the end of a 15 min ride. 5* the staff were wonderful, very good with the children and allowed photos with them wearing the drivers hat. Such a low price for a fab trip
The weather was perfect for a ride out to the miniature railway today! The volunteers were amazing. Telling us the history of how it came to be and allowing my 7 year old to toot the horn!! 10/10 the only thing is the little tea room is Cash only and we didnt have any on us so we missed out on some treats but not to worry we found a chocoholics dream on the wayy home(back to camp)

A brilliant experience! I took the gentleman I care for to Saltburn miniature railway on a Sunday, the whole experience was wonderful. All the staff were so helpful, friendly and were absolutely brilliant with the gentleman I care for, chatting to him and explaining what they do and answering all his questions. Thank you so much to all the amazing staff! I couldn't recommend this place enough.
What a fantastic experience! Visited during the summer holidays with 2 children (5 years, 1 year)...they absolutely loved it! Wasn't busy to say it was a lovely day in the middle of summer...after buying tickets (no queue) we were pretty much straight on the train. They have cartridges suitable for prams which we used, however only a few and noticed some people needed to collapse their pram if there wasn't enough space. Lovely little trip through the woods. It is a very short trip, a walkable distance, but a great experience! We popped into the tea room at the other end before returning!
