A vast expanse of sand dunes, heathland, and wetlands stretching along the Lincolnshire coast, featuring a diverse range of flora and fauna, including rare species such as the natterjack toad and the dark-green fritillary butterfly, with scenic trails and viewpoints offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the North Sea.
Absolutely fab place. We saw only 2 other people on a fantastically beautiful day. And we met a seal, an especially nice experience. After checking that he didn't appear injured or caught up in anything, we rang the seal sanctuary to check and they reassured us that it is quite normal for them to come out of the sea for a rest. Lucky us!
Easy parking, vast beach very peaceful & beautiful. When tide is out the sea is distant. Great place for walk with dogs. If you like natural England this is the place. Absolutely the opposite of Skegness!
Well worth a visit. Parking is at a small car park, but the fee is voluntary. Postcode- LN12 1NR. Postcode takes you to the middle of a small road... carry on to the bottom and the car park is on the right. No toilets or food available. Dogs allowed on the beach and at most times of the year allowed off lead too. Very quiet place, not many people. .the beach is extremely wide so do watch the tide times, and if you wish to see it, check the tide will be going out. You can literally walk for hours here. Head 30 mins North up the beach and you will find " tank on the. beach ", an old piece of history left in the sand.
Coastal vegetation, birdlife and a huge beach. The beach is very flat so the sea goes out a long way but leaves pools at low tides. There is so much space that it is often possible to walk nude without bumping into anyone.
Visited this place for the first time free small car park but no facilities on site , several paths leading towards the beach which is boggy & soggy & if the tides out the sea is very far away but its good for long walks with kids & dogs
Great place to visit for a walk, I parked a little down the coast and walked here via the many coastal paths in the area. Not too far from mablethorpe or the 'Tank on the beach'. Great views of the coast with literally nobody around on my visit. Will be back again.
Good for kids
Dogs allowed
