A scenic beach with soft, golden sand stretching along the coastline, surrounded by picturesque dunes and gentle slopes, offering a tranquil atmosphere and stunning views of the Irish Sea.
You need to visit their website to find out exactly when they are open as this is a family home, albeit an Elizabethan one, and as a consequence their opening times vary (normally open on a Sunday though). The people who live there take you on a tour of their house. The tour lasts about an hour and a quarter and you can walk around the gardens at your leisure. You only visit about three rooms but hey this is their house. Our guide really knew her stuff and it was fascinating to visit somewhere people still actually live in rather than something owned by the National Trust or English Heritage. Cost was PS7.50 for adults and PS1.00 for kids but your kids may get bored (ours did!). However I loved it, really interesting.
Had a rare opportunity to visit this stunning house and meet the lovely owners. A proper manor house rather than a National Trust sanitised version. Check their website for dates when they're open.
An old, homely house covering various periods, mainly Elizabethan set on the edge of a wooded valley.Great Hall must be seen.Very interesting talk on the past families and history of the house.Would definitely visit again.
