This is such a great place to visit especially if you have children! There are some super sculptures to look at, but the hands on activities were a hit with my little girl. She enjoyed using the sand equipment to create her own tower and later she used the sand art to create her own personalised gift. The staff were all friendly and the prices in the cafe were also reasonable.
Kids absolutely loved it and would've spent a LOT longer there had we not arrived later in the day. The exhibits were all really cool, and obviously the kids loved the ones they recognised our middle child LOVES Iron Giant so he was chuffed to bits when he saw him. We did the quiz and the kids got free sweets and a lolly which was nice bonus. Oh, and they probably spent 80% of their time in the play area with all the sand. Bit like being at the beach but they had shade, toys, and less space to disappear off too
This was perfect for my 5 year old. He had so much fun. It was a little over priced but turned out to be worth it. The staff were just amazing. The teenage girls running the play area were brilliant and involved with the kids. And in the cafe area and reception were really chatty. The staff really made our day special.
So overpriced. We are a family a 4 and it cost PS33. We stepped through the ticket office and stared in disbelief at the handful of sand sculptures and the children's sandpit area. If it weren't for the torrential rain we would have walked back out and asked for a refund. We had walked around the exhibit in less than 10 minutes. The kids played in the sand pit for 15 minutes while my husband and I had a coffee. Yes the sculptures are very impressive but overall absolutely NOT worth PS33.
Very unique experience. Very impressive sand sculptures. Spent a couple of hours there. There was also activities for younger children.
Better than expected. Sand sculptures were superb. There was a quiz that kept the kids occupied try to find the answers/clues from the various exhibits. Friendly staff. We took about an hour and a half to get round everything a couple of times, at a liesurely pace. Price for family ticket (2 adults and 2 kids) was PS30 (July 2023).
