A scenic viewpoint in the Scottish Borders, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Tweed Valley and surrounding countryside.
We were staying up the road at Springlee caravan site so we parked the car here took in the views and then carried on walking along the lane for about 30 minutes and found the signs for the William Wallace Statue, a very lovely walk through the woods and then we carried on down into the village and found another trail next to the Abbey which leads along the River Tweed. Past on a very lovely morning and got plenty of steps in.
What an amazing view. And lovely place to stop for a coffee if your passing that way. Then down to Wallace's statue. Loads to see and would make a great walk.
Lovely panoramic view from this point, no wonder Scott loved it. Plenty of parking space at no cost.
Amazing views across the valley, even on a showery day.
Just the perfect view point steeped in history.
Great spot to sit in tranquility and enjoy the scenery.
Wheelchair-accessible car park
