Really beautiful & relaxed peaceful space, with many interesting sculptures to view & interact with. I visited with two friends & we took our own picnic, which we ate on a bench by the river. There are several places within the lakeside area to do this. There are two food & drink outlets on site. Plates of food being served looked delicious. Volunteers on the entrance were very friendly & helpful, there was plenty of parking. We were able to come in & out of the sculpture/lake area to grab a drink. Loved the way the sculptures are placed within the landscape. Despite being fairly busy it didn't feel over crowded. It is also a botanical garden with many beautiful trees & plants.
Wow. This place is a hidden gem. So peaceful. An abundance of incredible sculptures to look at. Well worth a visit for some tranquility. Definitely buy tickets in advance. It was very busy, even on a Thursday morning..
What a great place to visit... We went here following one of our friends suggestion that if we had time before we came home we should visit this as it is something you shouldn't miss. Well it is something different, the sculptures are stunning, they are set in some beautiful surroundings, see the photos below It is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Beautiful place where you can find peace and quiet. Where you can have a nice walk around the lake, relax on many of the benches and swings and admire the amazing sculptures. Good place to have something to eat or just pop over for a nice cup of tea or coffee. The sculptures are beautiful, but their prices can make you dizzy. This is definitely a place worth visiting.
Beautiful gardens, lakes and sculptures. Peaceful and interesting. Nice (but a little pricey) food available to take away and eat in a secluded spot of the gardens, and there is a restaurant as well. We timed our visit with a makers fair that definitely added extra interest to the day.
Well worth a visit. You can wander around at your own pace just taking in the peace, quiet and bird song. The sculptures are fantastic. They would appeal to everybody. They are all around the lakes and in among the gardens so make sure you take your time . We would highly recommend this place.
