A picturesque beach with gentle slopes and a long stretch of pebbles, Seaford Beach is a tranquil haven for those seeking relaxation. The beach is backed by a promenade lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops, offering a range of amenities within easy reach. At low tide, the beach reveals a vast expanse of flat sand, perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports. The surrounding South Downs provide a dramatic backdrop, while the beach itself is a haven for wildlife, with frequent sightings of seabirds and the occasional seal.
Nice pebble beach with a few cafes, beach huts, public toilet and a local museum inside a Martello tower. There are remnants of a small fishing community with a few boats and old mechanical boat winches on the beach. There's parking just behind the beach.
Clean stretch of shingle beach, plenty of pebbles. Wheelchair accessible and bike friendly
Walking along the esplanade mostly cycle free lack of litter bins, what were there were overflowing. CCTV cameras covering the Beach huts. Not too much dog droppings. Bench seats spaced along the length of the walk surface mostly old concrete cracked in placed but should be okay for wheelchairs. Refreshments available from hut vendors with various opening times. Some have bench table seats along side. There are several covered shelters on over the length but some are in need of some loving care and attention and painting -rust showing through. In October the heavy plant moving equipment start to appear to reshape the beach enabling sea defence. The beach is always on the move. The Main Toilet block is by the Martello tower and on my visit October 2023 were disgusting and need immediate repair. They have placed 3 temporary composting unisex toilets close by. Better Toilets can be found at west end within the Buckle Free Car Park.
Great place for a family day out. The beach is very similar to Brighton. But a lot less commercialised. You can even find free parking by the beach. Don't forget to walk to the cliffs.
Beautiful beach to walk on and not too crowded.
What beautiful places, great for walkers and beach lovers alike. Definitely worth a visit
Wheelchair-accessible car park
