Seahouses Harbour is a picturesque fishing village on the north-east coast of England, situated in Northumberland. The harbour is surrounded by quaint, colourful cottages and shops, with a bustling atmosphere that reflects its rich maritime heritage. Visitors can stroll along the harbour walls, admire the fleet of fishing boats, and sample the local seafood at one of the many eateries. The village is also a popular spot for water sports, with opportunities for sailing, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
Always loved Seahouses, from the age of 5 I'm now 38. Not much has changed, but it is still a lovely place to go on a hot summers day. This time was special though, because this time we booked a boat trip to see the seals. And we were not dissapointed, it was amazing being on the boat. My 10 year old daughter smiled the whole journey and I was able to get some amazing photography. Definitely recommend, book it now. They do sunset and sun rise boats also, they would be beautiful.
Beautiful village. Car parking chargers really expensive. Lovely restaurant. I had fish & chips light bite, including tartar sauce, mushy peas, bread and tea all for under PS13. Fantastic. It was really nice. Staff very friendly. Upstairs toilets. Clean.
Lovely quaint working harbour with boat trips out to the islands all year, but the best time to visit is June / July as that is when the birds will be nesting on the islands. There is a number of kiosks to book trips from but I highly recommend Serenity as there trips are more thorough and the crew interact with the guests.
Lovely place great views of bamberg castle and the Farne island. We were hoping to go on a boat trip to see the puffins but as you can see in the pictures the weather and sea weren't playing.
Great boat trip to Farne Islands. Saw many seals puffins and other birds. Went up inside the lighthouse! Took dog on boat , he was allowed off on Longstand.
Lovely place to visit. Boat trips to Farne Islands. You can land on the island if you are a member of the National Trust
