Large, open park featuring basketball courts & a football pitch, plus a playground & a skate park.
Huge green space, perfect for family and walking days.
We ran into some park rangers on our visit, who were very friendly. The park area was very clean and well kept, the Brook is open and shallow for children to play in, which is a nice bonus on a hot day
Nice park to have a stroll in. The playground could do with a new lease of life but okay for somewhere for the kids to play. I find that the park is always clean and plenty of bins available. Basketball/Football area as well
Absolutely beautiful park that is very well maintained. I only walked a small distance, but there was lots of grass to run around on, a skateboard/BMX/skating area, with benches so as if anyone is on there you can stop and watch them, a kids playground and a baseball court. On one part of the grassed area there is what appears to be a statue made out of wood, next time Bolly and I go there, we will have a look and take photos! The paths are flat, wide and tarmacked with benches, so the part I walked on (off Field Lane) is flat, but having visited before, I know there are steep hills which may be difficult for people who aren't very mobile. I parked on Field Lane where there is a decent amount of on the road parking, but there is also a large car park with lovely views over the park. Bolly really enjoyed the grassy areas and had a lovely time running round. We will definitely be visiting the park again and exploring it a little bit more.
It is lovely park but doesn't have enough children play ground and the car park is too far away from the children's play ground and and doesn't have any toilet it's hard especially for elderly people.
Lovely big park with lots of open space perfect for dog walking, running and cycling. During the day it is wonderful but after about 6pm takes on a different tone with antisocial behaviour such as mopeds riding around and groups of teens hanging around. My son's bike has been stolen from him whilst in the park last year. I have personally never had a problem there myself but not really somewhere I'd let my children hang out without an adult again.
