Coquet Valley Challenge. Just completed this on Saturday. What an amazing team. So welcoming and incredibly well organised. Great support at both checkpoints and a brew and chocolate at the finish. Thanks to all the support crew for a first class effort, well done!

CLEVELAND WAY - MOORLAND SECTION 3rd - 9th July 2024 I've just completed the Cleveland Way Moorland section organised by Jane and the team at Shepherds Walks Holidays. The walk was everything I have come to expect of Shepherds, well organised, well planned, great accommodation, excellent welcome pack, very efficient bag transfer and first class taxi service, a special mention of Rob from Ayton Taxis who called me the day before to introduce himself and who was happy to alter the pick up time as I was making such good daily progress. Nothing is too much trouble for the team at Shepherds and you can tailor the walk to suit your individual needs or wants. This is not my first walk with Shepherds and it won't be my last. Took part in the Northumberland coastal challenge walk/run. A very well organised event, smashing route and volunteers were fantastic.

I would not hesitate in recommending Shepherds Walks. I took part in my first walk last weekend. The whole day was extremely well organised, everyone was super helpful and friendly and the route was very well marked. The views were outstanding too! A great day! Thank you to everyone at Shepherds Walks!

Fantastic day map reading course with Paul Freeman. The morning was spent in the very nice meeting room at Shepherds Walks, and then the afternoon on the Hillside putting into practice some of the things we learnt. It was 'hands on' right from the start and the group soon got into the swing of things, mostly working in pairs. Paul is clearly very knowledgeable and informative and an excellent tutor. He kept us on our toes when we were outside in the afternoon and we took it in turns to carry out various navigational tasks. It was a fantastic walk in itself, too, helped by the beautiful sunny weather. I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who would like to know more about interpreting maps and how to use a compass, or for someone like myself who has lost those skills over the years due to always relying on others to do the navigation!
