Acres of woods crisscrossed with dozens of well maintained footpaths and bridleways. Literally just a few metres from the Western edge of Welwyn Garden City this wood is a pure delight. For those lucky enough to live within walking distance they will already know and love this space. For those unfamiliar the journey is definitely worth it. The huge wood encompasses some of the old railway route, not that you'd know it except from the old maps. So, if you're new to the area, add this to your list of places to explore and enjoy. A good hour's stroll will cover just a few of the paths. But plenty more paths if you have the time. Five easy stars .
Just love walking Leilo in there , he meets other friends in there and for an hour a day he's totally free to do what He wants to do !

Kids and I love it, look out for decorated stones by bunch of crazies stones and discs on fb. Lovely woods for the dog to run around in, kids love it too. Relaxing. Big enough of u want you can get lost lol. One way brings you out to the pub, perfect walk lol
Nice place. Most people who visit are lovely, but the place has its fair share of dogs owners who hate other peoples dogs (you know the type!).
Lovely place to walk , lots of different routs to take enjoyable walk .we take our grandchildren here they all love it there as we do .
